as a ProATC user i read at the forum, that there is a new version of your fantastic Real ATC
collection.
It is mentioned, that costumers may ask for the download link with a proof of purchase. So i
copied the old PayPal advice in this mail.
I hope, this very generous offer is still valid.
Ohterwise, just send me a short note and i will purchase again, your work makes ProATC very
realistic!
With regards
Matthias

I just read on the Real ATC forum that you had released an updated version of RealATC, version
1.7.2.0 and that you would give us a link to download it, if we sent you an eMail verifying
purchase of the earlier version. I hope this PayPal payment receipt will suffice, and I am
really looking forward to downloading and using your new RealAtc files. Very many thanks for the
countless hours you spend preparing these files that make Flight Sim and Real ATC so much more
enjoyable
Lee

I enjoyed your files , thanks a lot.
Wahid

Thanks Ralph for pulling this together and enhancing Pro-ATC I hope my support can encourage
the developer to continue with incremental improvements.
Scott

BTW, I know you upgrade as you did for free, but Im happy to pay again if you wish to send me
the link both for the time you have spent w/ me and all of the work that goes into making these
files.
Chuck

4 hours ago and took 3hrs to install everything lol!! Once again, Thank you very much!!
Rocky

Thanks very much Ralph. These are excellent files and will add great atmosphere to my flights.
Best regards

And here is a free gift for everyone. Early in December 2014 I was made aware of the fact that the latest build of the USA Chatter file set and the European file set did not contain the promised 37 Oceanic files. Not sure what happened but anyway here is a link to get those files separately and a free little gift or everyone.

http://realatc.net/38 Oceanic Files.zip  These files really do not fit in with the general scheme of things. They were captured on a 777 flight from Munich to Miami and are really just for information purposes. They are what we heard crossing the Atlantic from east to west.

Now here is edition 3.6 of the edited files. It is now 100% complete to conform to PRO-ATC/X Version 1.8.7.9 released on 17 March 2017 and forward Currently there are 640 approach files, 103 clearance, 323 departure, 329 ground, 324 Low Altitude Center, 730 High Altitude Center  including 37 Oceanic Traffic Files and finally 775 Tower files for a total of 3246 files!.So, tremendous depth has been achieved to enhance the ambiance provided by the RealATC files. Your flights will never sound the same again and you can never fly two identical sounding flights.

A word about the files. The clearance delivery files have NOT been edited to remove the geography since they would make no sense whatsoever without the nomenclature. A lot can be learned from listening to the clearances, so it would be the end users preference to leave them or not. The same holds true for 37 HF files we captured on the 20 Heavy flight from Munich to Miami. These are rare sound bytes to get and interesting to listen to but to take out the names of fixes and controlling comms would leave these files making no sense whatsoever.  Also it should be noted that many times approach and departure share the same frequency and at very odd times you will only hear one side of the conversation probably due to duplex frequencies.

Because 99% of the geographical names have been removed, while the files are mostly USA chatter and they will be installed as such, they can be used while flying anywhere in the world. That choice is left to the end user!

Starting with PRO-ATC/X Version 1.1.4.0 there was a reference to these files and their use under help/updates version 1.1.4.0 and forward. When the manual was re-written for version 1.7 this reference was omitted

How to install:
Unzip the file into a temporary folder Then follow the instructions  within PRO-ATC/X to assign your new REALATC GLOBAL folder to the appropriate countries for your personal enjoyment.

Go Fly and enjoy!

Thank you in advance for your purchase of this special edit. It will very defiantly greatly increase your enjoyment of PRO-ATC/X.
Hope to hear your voice set for download from their site as you get excited about PRO-ATC/X!

Also included with this version is Enviro32! This will allow your use of the RealATC Special Edit for PRO-ATC/X files with other sims.

Enjoy the files and remember you can always contact me by email to ralph@realatc.net.

Blue skies!

NEW 27 OCT 2014 About European Chatter

While the 667 sound bytes added by inclusion of these 3 real flights which were recorded in the

cockpits, the flight paths are narrow and if they were applied strictly by the book, you most likely

would not hear much unless you flew the exact path. So, being an American who loves to hear the

European flavored accents I have a solution that works for me. Immediately below this paragraph you

will find a link that bundles all three of the real flights in one simple download. In it you will find an EUR

folder with a Global subfolder and the app, clr, dep, ctr, gnd and twr subfolders. Into each of these subfolders

I have placed all 3 flights. For example the EUR/Global/app folder has the approach files from all 3 flights.

Installation is very simple - same as USA files. Simple move the EUR folder to Sound/ATC and then assign the

folder as a region using the PRO-ATC/X Background ATC Configuration. I have my region to cover all of Europe.

Here are the 3 real flights explained one by one

July 4, 2013

Finally, I have extracted the ATC files from the original flight 425 which
was flown in a CRJ-100 from Vienna (LOWW) to Nice (LFMN).

I have included the original flight plan which can be viewed with Notepad, the same as you are
probably using to view this file. The SOLNI intersection no longer appears on
any current charts.

A FSX flight plan that roughly replicates the original flight is
also here for you.

The the use of these files could be quite different than the
original RealATC Special Edit for PRO-ATC/X files and so there is no automatic installer.
You are free to put them where you like following the instructions within
PRO-ATC/X and other hints etc found at the forum.

Below are the file number ranges and the applicable ATC grouping for the files:

Ground
001-019 Vienna Ground
167-174 Nice Ground

Departure
033-051 Wein Departure

Enroute
052-141

Nice Approach
142-157

Tower
0020-032 Vienna Tower
158-166 Nice Tower

About 120 total files for your enjoyment.

The omitted files in the numerical sequence were mostly cockpit chatter
between the pilots and checklists with read backs.

By now you are familiar with the sounds as recorded in the cockpit. You've
heard my friend, Bob Dickinson in his Cherokee 6 known as N54429 while flying
IFR from Houston's Hobby Airport (KHOU) to San Antonio (KSAT). And you have also heard the "20 Heavy"
flight which was in a 777 from Munich (EDDM) to Miami (KMIA) across the pond. These can
sound very different from files recorded from a scanner. You will find the same to be true
for this flight 425 and the next two real flights also.

Since two of the 5 real flights got embedded to where it was an impossible task to extract them, there will be two more real flights after this one.

Next will be Flight 106 EGKK DVR7M DVR .. UG1 FRE FRE3W LOWW

and finally

Flight 9973 EGSS CPT2R CPT .. MID UA34 AGN UN860 VLC UM985 MGA MGA1A LEMG

You may edit these files as needed to suite your personal choice.

July 29, 2013

September 12, 2013

At long last, I have extracted and edited the ATC files from the original flight 9973 which was flown in a Boeing 737-400 from London Stansted (LOWW) to Malaga Spain (LEMG).

I have included the original flight plan which can be viewed with Notepad,

A FSX flight plan that roughly replicates the original flight is
also here for you.

Flight 9973 EGSS CPT2R CPT .. MID UA34 AGN UN860 VLC UM985 MGA MGA1A LEMG,

As this flight moved south over France the ATC can be very challenging to hear

and understand. Nothing was changed from the original recordings. It will become

crystal clear the need for vigilance in listening to ATC!

I have included a small playerdifferent from Enviro 3.2 which ,makes it very easy to listen to all the files in a directory one by one and very fast. I hope you find it useful.

You may edit these files as needed to suite your personal choice.

This is the third and last of the 3 real flights to add to the RealATC Special Edit for PRO-ATC/X.

287 RealATC files here for your added enjoyment one this flight for a total of 667 files added to the original 3100 or so for an impressive total.

The Special Edit is now complete and finished. Thanks for being a RealATC pilot!
